Soil for Life's Open Gardens offer garden demonstrations, talks and activities to help educate the youth.

Chefs4Soil started in 2017 when Chef Ivor Jones from Chefs Warehouse at Beau Constantia and Soil for Life entered into a partnership. Soil for Life developed and now maintain a herb and vegetable garden for the restaurant at their beautiful premises on the Beau Constantia wine farm. Once a year – in June or July – Chef Ivor hosts a special dinner in support of Soil for Life.

Volunteers benefit from their work at the Farm, making friends, gaining skills and knowledge, gaining confidence and pride in knowing they are contributing to a more healthy and just food system in Cape Town and beyond.
